Olivia 6 Months

The Stat’s:
Height:  25 1/2in (25%)
Weight: 14lbs 10oz (25-50%)
Head 42cm
Big Boy Bed 052
Olivia at 6 months:
- She is still the most smiley baby ever, and laughs all the time
- Still sleeping from 7:30-5:30 or 6 during the week days, and the same on the weekends except she will eat at 5:30 or 6 and go back to sleep until 8-8:30.
-Still sleeps in our room. (I’m in no hurry to change this!!)
-Rolls back to tummy and I’ve seen her roll ONCE from tummy to back.
- Loves the Exersaucer. LOVES. But has a love/hate relationship with the bee….She gets him in her hands and then screams! I think she’s mad that she can’t actually get him off of the Exersaucer.

- Can sit all on her own. She’s been doing this for about a month now, but she can sit for longer and longer periods of time. I was sure that she would never sit on her own because she bounces all the time, but she has finally mastered sitting/bouncing at the same time. She looks really unhappy in this picture, but I swear it’s just my camera. As soon as I put it away, she is all smiles!

- She started baby food!! We actually tried some rice cereal around 4 months, but she was spitting almost all of it out, so we waited a few months and she loves it now. So far she has had peas, squash, carrots, apples, pears, bananas and sweet potatoes. Her favorite is peas so far. She’s also had oatmeal twice, but both times has thrown up quite a bit about 3 hours later so we are just skipping that for now, and we’ll try again in a few months.
- She loves playing with her toys. She will play with her rattle forever and pass it back and forth between her hands.
- She can put her paci in her mouth. She’s also been doing this for quite a while, but she’s  now mastered this art during the night which is great for mommy!
- She is big enough for baths in the ducky tub! Liam loved the Ducky tub, and so does she!

- She had her first ear infection, which (after 10 days of antibiotics) turned into double ear infections Sad smile We found out at her 6 month appt that she had an ear infection in her right ear, and put her on 10 days of antibiotics. Mike and I had a trip to Miami scheduled, so we decided to take her in to be checked out the day before we left just to make sure she was ok. Turns out that her one ear infection turned into 2, plus she was wheezing. So we left with ANOTHER antibiotic, and an inhaler. Good thing is that she was back to normal after just a few days.
- She says “Dadadadada” all the time. I’m in mommy denial that she’s actually saying ‘Dada.’
- She loves her brother. He can still make her laugh more than anyone else.

Olivia 4 Months…

The Stats:
Height: 24 1/2in (50-75%)
Weight: 12lbs 8oz (25%)
Head: 39.5cm (25%)
She did great at the doctor despite looking completely unhappy in the picture!

Of course the doctor said that she was the most beautiful, perfect and advanced baby she had ever seen….or is that just what I heard her say Winking smile She did get a perfect bill of health. She is right on track developmentally. She actually started rolling from her back to her belly about a week before her appointment. She was so proud of herself until she realized that she couldn’t roll back the other way. So it became a vicious cycle of…..Lay on the floor and play with playmat……get bored….roll over…..get REALLY excited for 1.2 seconds…..cry for Mommy…..Mommy flips her back over…..repeat. She is much better on the tummy now, but it was a rough start. A few things about Olivia at 4 months:
- She consistently sleeps from 7:30ish to about 5:30-6:00 on weekdays.
- On weekends she goes to sleep about 7:30, wakes to eat between 5:30 and 6:30 and goes back to sleep until about 8:00.
- She still sleeps in our room….in her pack-n-play….right next to my side of the bed.
- I’ve found her sleeping on her tummy a handful of times.
- She is the worst napper on the planet! We are lucky to get 2 hours total all day long, and usually it’s more like 1 1/2. Good thing she is such a good sleeper at night!
- She can roll from back to tummy.
- She is learning to hold her toys and ‘plays’ with them.
- She eats 5-6 oz bottles, every 3 hours except overnight.
- She is the most smiley baby I have ever seen!

Surprise!

I’ve mentioned just a few times how much I love birthday’s. Mike and I are kind of opposite in our views of birthday celebrations – I like to make a big deal out of them, and he would be happy ordering Chinese and renting a move. This year Mike turned 30 and there was no way I was letting him get away without an awesome night with friends and family, and there was also no way I was telling him that it was going to happen. For weeks I’d been asking him what he wanted to do….where we should go….what we would do with the kids. He really didn’t care, he just wanted to go out for dinner somewhere nice, and then get a hotel for the night. So our plan was to drop the kids off at my parents house and then head out for dinner. I felt like I was going to throw up all day, I was so nervous. I’m still not exactly sure how, but with the help of a lot of friends and family, we were able to pull it off!

After hanging out at the house for a while, we all headed out to Hemmingway’s on Marietta Square for the night. It was one of the best nights!

The Birthday Party

The theme this year was Dinosaurs!!! Rooooarrrrrrrr!!

All the kids are always obsessed with the vaccum! haha!

Liam was NOT excited about the Happy Birthday Song

Apparently, Jackson wasn't a fan either. Ha!!

Bailey Boo getting in on some dinosaur action.

Our attempt at a group shot. Maybe one day!

I really love planning parties, and this one was so much fun! Liam has been really into dinosaurs for the longest time, so it only seemed right that his 3rd birthday party would be dinosaur themed! We had dinosaur fossils at the door, dino tracks leading to the food, blow up dinosaurs, and a dinosaur bone cake. It was so much fun and we had the best day celebrating with friends!
