Surprise!
I’ve mentioned just a few times how much I love birthday’s. Mike and I are kind of opposite in our views of birthday celebrations – I like to make a big deal out of them, and he would be happy ordering Chinese and renting a move. This year Mike turned 30 and there was no way I was letting him get away without an awesome night with friends and family, and there was also no way I was telling him that it was going to happen. For weeks I’d been asking him what he wanted to do….where we should go….what we would do with the kids. He really didn’t care, he just wanted to go out for dinner somewhere nice, and then get a hotel for the night. So our plan was to drop the kids off at my parents house and then head out for dinner. I felt like I was going to throw up all day, I was so nervous. I’m still not exactly sure how, but with the help of a lot of friends and family, we were able to pull it off!
